Last week, one of Canada’s leading business publications released their annual lists of fastest-growing Canadian companies – more than two dozen companies located in Waterloo made an appearance.

Canadian Business releases two lists each year – Growth 500 and Startup 50. The former ranks companies by 5-year revenue growth percentage and the latter ranks companies by 2-year revenue growth percentage. In total, the report lists 11 Waterloo companies on the Growth 500 and another 4 on the Startup 50 representing a diversity of industries including tech, advanced manufacturing, professional services and construction.

However, we did a bit of research and found another 10 businesses with Waterloo operations across the two lists. Here’s a summary of Waterloo representation on the Growth 500 and Startup 50:

This is great news for Waterloo, but we know that there are some key omissions from the list. This is due primarily to the fact that inclusion depends on companies applying for consideration.

Should your company be on the list? Canadian Business is already collecting a list of companies for their 2020 Growth 500 and Startup 50. Submit your company info here to be considered: https://www.canadianbusiness.com/growth-500-canadas-fastest-growing-companies/enter/
